[Class 56] A method of producing multicellular or foam glass, particularly in the form of bricks or blocks, consists in heating pulverized glass with the addition of a substance, such as calcium carbonate, which produces gas in quantities that increase with temperature, the heating being effected in firmly closed moulds. Filling-materials which do not melt, such as sand or clay, may be added to the pulverized glass. |
