PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump device which drives a pump mechanism by using a four cycle water-cooled engine to discharge water suctioned by the pump mechanism and effectively cools an engine oil.SOLUTION: A water pump device 1 drives a pump mechanism 5 by using a four cycle water-cooled engine 2 to discharge water suctioned by the pump mechanism 5 and includes: an oil pipe 49 serving as an oil passage for circulating an engine oil to the water-cooled engine 2; and a passage 57 in which water taken in from a suction/discharge water passage 9 of the pump mechanism 5 is returned to the suction/discharge water passage 9. The passage 57 is provided with an oil cooling part 61 which cools the oil pipe 49 by water flowing in the passage 57 to cool the engine oil flowing in the oil pipe 49.
