PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and quick method of checking the presence and impregnation depth of coating of a silicate surface impregnation agent on concrete.SOLUTION: A method of evaluating concrete is for evaluating the presence of a silicate surface impregnation agent on a concrete specimen, and involves evaluating the presence of a silicate surface impregnation agent on a concrete specimen by having the concrete specimen react with an indicator reagent containing nitrite and calcium.
