<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device which stabilizes slip torque of a steering shaft to a key ring.SOLUTION: A steering column device 1 includes: a steering shaft 2 which may integrally rotate with a steering member; and a lock mechanism 4 for locking rotations of the steering shaft 2. The lock mechanism 4 includes: a key ring 8; a lock member 10; and an actuator 12. The key ring 8 is an annular body which externally fits on the steering shaft 2 so as to integrally rotate with the steering shaft 2. First gear teeth 13 extending in an axial direction X of the steering shaft 2 are formed at an entire region of an outer peripheral surface 8B of the key ring 8 arranged in a circumferential direction. The lock member 10 includes multiple second gear teeth 15 which engage with the first gear teeth 13. The actuator 12 moves the lock member 10 so that the second gear teeth 15 engage with the first gear teeth 13.</p> |
