<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection structure which enables an optical fiber cable with a terminal to be easily and accurately aligned to achieve optical connection.SOLUTION: In the optical connection structure, an optical fiber cable with a terminal, in which an optical fiber terminal having a ferrule is attached to a tip end of an optical fiber cable including a coated optical fiber, and a connection object member are optically connected. The ferrule includes a fitting part having a ferrule tip end surface to which a coated optical fiber tip end surface being a tip end surface of the coated optical fiber exposed from a tip end of the optical fiber cable is exposed, and the connection object member includes a part to be fitted, which has a counter surface facing the ferrule tip end surface when the part to be fitted is fitted to the fitting part. The fitting part and the part to be fitted are configured so that one of them can be inserted to the other, and the side to be inserted has a slit which has an inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the insertion side and is formed so as to increase the inner diameter in accordance with the outer diameter of the insertion side during insertion, and a side surface of at least one of the fitting part and the part to be fitted includes a portion formed of a tapered surface having a taper angle in a direction crossing an insertion direction.</p> |
