PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper post-processing device having a constitution capable of: retaining a crimping strength regardless of the thickness and the binding number of paper; and retaining a crimping strength according to the selection of a binding state.SOLUTION: A paper post-processing device 3 has a binding part for positioning a paper bundle on which a plurality of sheets 5 are overlaid when binding processing of pressure-deforming a portion of the paper bundle in an irregular shape is performed. The paper post-processing device 3 comprises: water adding means W1 and W2 for causing a binding area of said sheets 5 to contain moisture; and a control part for changing and adjusting the amount of water added. The paper post-processing device 3 is characterized in that said control unit can change the amount of water added according to at least the thickness and binding number of the sheets constituting said paper bundle.
