PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease alcohol-derived oxide such as acetone contained in purified alcohol when alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol is purified.SOLUTION: A step of removing dissolved oxygen from an alcohol-containing liquid is added to an alcohol purification method comprising a heat treatment step (for example, dehydration using a dehydration membrane or distillation) of heat-treating the alcohol-containing liquid so that the dissolved oxygen-removed alcohol-containing liquid is supplied to the heat treatment step. Furthermore, it does not matter if the inside of a system to be used for alcohol purification is replaced beforehand with an inert gas.
