PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver whose lock release structure has excellent workability and a method of controlling the lock state of the optical transceiver.SOLUTION: An optical transceiver includes: a lock part 2 that is disposed on the outer wall surface of a base 1 in which an optical transmitter or an optical receiver to which an optical cable 12 is connected is accommodated and whose end of the base 1 side can be engaged with a partner side device; a lock release auxiliary part 3 that is connected with the end part of the optical cable 12 side of the lock part 2 and switches between the engagement state of the lock part 2 and the release state of the engagement state thereof by rotation; and a lever 4 whose end part of the base 1 side is connected with the lock release auxiliary part 3 and that makes the lock release auxiliary part 3 rotate by moving to the direction in parallel to the distraction direction of the optical cable 12. |
