SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRESENCE SERVICE INTERCONNECT SERVICE IN IMS

A system and a method for a presence service interconnect service based on an IMS are provided to efficiently manage buddy and presence information when presence information is interconnected with another IMS network. A PS(Presence Service) server(240) of a home IMS(IP(Internet Protocol) Multimedia System) network(200) receives a request of presence information about a subscriber of another IMS network from a subscriber terminal of a home IMS network. The PS server of the home IMS network requests the presence information of the subscriber of another IMS network to a PS server of another IMS network. When subscribers added to a buddy list are at least two groups, the PS server checks an IMS network of a corresponding group. When it is a subscriber of another IMS network, the PS server requests the presence information to a presence server of another IMS network. The PS server generates a presence document about the entire group based on the received presence information.
