<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling cooling of sintered ore which controls the cooling so as to cool sintered ore uniformly at a specified temperature in a cooler installation for cooling sintered ore.SOLUTION: A liftable gate and one or more height detectors for detecting a height of sintered ore piled on the gate entrance side are provided on the entrance side pf a cooler installation for sintered ore. When the height of the pile of sintered ore piled in front of the gate detected by the detectors exceeds a preliminarily determined upper limit height, the gate is moved upward from a reference height, and the feeding speed of sintered ore of the cooler is increased. When the height of the pile becomes lower than a predetermined lower limit height, the gate is moved downward from the reference height, and the feed speed of sintered ore of the cooler is decreased. The layer thickness of sintered ore passing the gate is thereby made uniform in the progressing and width directions, and sintered ore is cooled.</p> |
