The present invention relates to a device and a method to provide DRM service in an electronic device. At this time, the method to provide the DRM service includes a step of confirming high-bandwidth digital content protocol (HDCP) state information by using a general operating system (normal world), a step of transmitting the HDCP state information confirmed from the general operating system to a security operating system (secure world), and a step of controlling the DRM service for DRM content considering the HDCP state information in the security operating system.
