PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine having high detergency by improving efficiency to discharge circulation water to clothing in a rotary drum through a discharge side pathway from a circulation pump with high reliability and a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A headrace channel 55b is composed of an inner wall of a water tub 3 and a cover 55 attached to the inner wall of the water tub 3. As a result, even if washing water should leak in the headrace channel 55b, the leakage is completed within the water tub 3 and such an unsafe state as water leakage to outside of the washing machine can be prevented. Further, as a wider cross-sectional area of the headrace channel 55b than the hose can be secured, a low-loss water circulation pathway 16 can be provided. The washing machine has at least two kinds of spreads of washing water jetting from a plurality of jetting openings 53. Thus, it is possible to wet both the vicinity of a first opening 54 of the rotary drum 4 and laundry in a deep portion from the vicinity of the center of the rotary drum 4 at an early stage to improve the effect of washing water. |
