PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage checking device and a method therefor capable of measuring an internal pressure of a fuel supply tube and easily and surely checking leakage of fuel gas in a safety shutoff valve.SOLUTION: A gas leakage checking device comprises: a first safety shutoff valve 81 inserted into a fuel gas supply tube 89 of an internal combustion engine 1; a second safety shutoff valve 82 provided downstream of the first safety shutoff valve 81; a gas leakage check tube 89c branching off from between the first and second safety shutoff valve 81 and 82; a gas bleed valve 83 provided in the gas leakage check tube 89c, and discharging fuel gas between the first and second safety shutoff valves 81 and 82; a first pressure gauge P1 detecting a pressure of the fuel gas in the gas leakage check tube 89c; and second pressure gauges P2 and P3 provided downstream of the second safety shutoff valve 82, and detecting a pressure of the fuel gas in the fuel gas supply tube 89. |
