DRIVE PLATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sound quality and sound pressure of gear noise of a drive plate integrally molded by press-machining.SOLUTION: A drive plate 1 includes a plate portion 2 coupled to a crank shaft of an engine, and a rim portion 3 having a plurality of teeth 30 engaged with a pinion gear of a cell motor for cranking the engine. The plate portion 2 and the rim portion 3 are integrally molded by press-machining in an axial direction of the drive plate 1. A free end portion 3b on the opposite side to a base end portion 3a connecting to a plate portion 2 of the rim portion 3 is made close to the plate portion 2, namely a center axis A of the drive plate 1 rather than a base end portion 3a.
