Disclosed is a semi-conductive layer resin composition for a high voltage and extra high voltage cable having an improved heat resistance while being economically advantageous when used as a semi-conductive material for a high voltage and extra high voltage cable replacing existing ethylene ethylacrylate. Provided in the present invention is a semi-conductive layer resin composition for a high voltage and extra high voltage cable which comprises 100 parts by weight of low density polyethylene; 0.1-0.35 part by weight of a primary antioxidant; 0.05-0.15 parts by weight of a secondary antioxidant; 0.7-1.5 part by weight of a crosslinking agent; and 30-40 parts by weight of carbon black.
