PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a defect of a printed matter in consideration of image misregistration in inspecting the image formed on a sheet surface by an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: On the basis of information on an image to be formed and output, an inspection image is generated for inspecting a read image formed by reading an image formed/output on a sheet surface. The read image is registered with the inspection image. On the basis of a difference between the read image and the inspection image registered with each other, an inspection is performed for determining a defect of the read image, to determine misregistration between the inspection image and the read image in which a defect is determined by the defect determination. |
