PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating arsenic capable of treating arsenic included in arsenic-containing copper ore to a stable form suitable for storage and preservation.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for treating arsenic comprising: a roasting step of roasting arsenic-containing copper ore in an inert gas atmosphere and separating the same into copper pyrite and an arsenic sulfide-containing volatile matter; and a heat treatment step of heat-treating the volatile matter obtained in the roasting step in an inert gas atmosphere, and dissolving the arsenic sulfide in the volatile matter.
