PRODUCTION METHOD OF CYCLIC POLYSULFIDE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a cyclic polysulfide compound in a high yield, simple and economical way without requiring protection of a sulfur atom by a trimethylsilyl group which is expensive and easy to be hydrolyzed, and also without requiring removal of moisture from a reaction liquid.SOLUTION: A dithiol compound having two S is thiolated with an alkali metal to generate an alkali metal dithiolate compound; and then the alkali metal dithiolate compound is reacted with a sulfur dichloride having one to four S to generate a cyclic polysulfide compound.
