PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide modified diene polymers which avoid disadvantages in modified polymers used hitherto and which improve ease of incorporation into rubber mixtures and mechanical/dynamic properties of resultant rubber mouldings; and particularly to improve tear-propagation properties.SOLUTION: Disadvantages in production of rubber mouldings employing known modified polymers can be avoided by employing polymers based on conjugated dienes or on conjugated dienes and vinylaromatic compounds.
