1. A joint assembly comprising:
a sleeve having a first end and a second end for insulating an electrical splice; a core disposed within said first end; wherein said second end is designed to mate with a bus and secure to said connector; and wherein said core is removably attached so that upon removal of said core said first end shrinks to secure around a cable inserted therein.
