Provided is a contactless power supply system wherein an efficient system can be configured with a small coil by appropriately limiting power inputted in a power transmission coil. The contactless power supply system allows a power receiving coil (22) to receive power transmitted from a power transmission coil (12) using magnetic coupling. The contactless power supply system includes a power control unit (11) for energizing the power transmission coil (12) with the power from a power supply (300), and a control unit (15) for limiting the power energizing the power transmission coil (12) by controlling the power control unit (11). The control unit (15) determines magnitude relation between an induction current (Im) and a power receiving coil current (Is) on the basis of the coil coupling condition between a power transmission coil (12) and a power receiving coil (22), and selects a control mode for power limiting control on the basis of the determination results. |
