PROCESS FOR DEGRADING A BIOFILM ON SURFACES OF OBJECTS

A process for degrading a biofilm on surfaces of objects by means of an extract of a bacterium of the genus Lysobacter, whereby the extract is obtainable by a process comprising the following steps: culturing Lysobacter on a solid or in a liquid medium; incubating at a temperature of 20° C. to 40° C. for a duration of from 1 to 15 days; extraction of at least one component, which is able to degrade a biofilm; optionally followed by further purification steps, such as ion-exchange chromatography and/or concentration.
