<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator capable of suppressing reduction of energy density, and capable of constituting a battery superior in safety in abnormal heating while securing reliability of the battery, and a lithium secondary battery having the separator. <P>SOLUTION: This is the separator for the battery, and the lithium secondary battery having the separator containing composite fine particles in which at least one part of a surface of a heat resistant fine particles is covered by a resin. Plate like particles are preferable as the heat resistant fine particles regarding the composite fine particles, and moreover, as the resin, it is preferable that this is melted at 80 to 130°C, or at least that this can be water swollen in a nonaqueous electrolytic solution, and that a swelling degree increases as the temperature rises. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
