PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of eliminating troublesomeness in terms of operation by discriminating whether or not a detection result obtained by eyepiece detection is caused by putting a finger over an eyepiece detection means, and inhibiting turn-off of a display part against photographer's will.
SOLUTION: The camera includes: an irradiation means arranged near a finder and configured to radiate light; a light-receiving means configured to output a signal by receiving the light radiated from the irradiation means arranged near the finder; a determination means configured to determine that, when output from the light-receiving means is larger than a predetermined value and variation of the output from the light-receiving means per unit time is smaller than a predetermined value, it is eye's approach to the finder; and a control means configured to turn off display of the display part when the determination means determines that it is eye's approach to the finder.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
|
