<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring method and position measuring system by which the position of the characteristic point of a target measurement object can be measured in real time with a simple device compared to a total station. <P>SOLUTION: The position measuring method for measuring the central position of a target 30, which is a cylindrical object, includes the steps of :capturing positional information of a plurality of measuring points on the target 30 from an LRF 20 used for measuring the distances of the measuring points on the target 30 by scanning a laser beam on the target 30; and estimating the central position of the target 30 based on the positional information of the measuring points on the target 30 and information of a circular-arc portion and central position on the circumferential surface 30B of the target 30, which is known information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
