<p>An electrical connector (10) including a housing (11) provided thereon with an opening (12) through which a flat circuit device (30) is inserted into the housing (11), a plurality of conductive contacts (13) arranged on the housing (11), a conductive shell (14) mounted on the housing (11) for covering partially the same and provided with a holding member (18), and a movable lever (19), wherein the holding member (18) comprises an arm portion (24) extending from the conductive shell (14) to the inside thereof, an engaging projection (25) provided at an end of the arm portion (24) for engaging with an engaging edged portion (33; 34) provided on the FPC (30) inserted in the housing (11) so as to hold the FPC (30), a pressure receiving portion (26) extending from the engaging projection (25) for receiving pressure from the movable lever (19) and an indicating portion (27) extending from the pressure receiving portion (26) to take up selectively first and second positions for indicating a state of the holding member (18), and the indication portion (27) taking up at least one of the first and second positions is able to be visually checked from the outside of the conductive shell (14).</p> |
