Provided is a device for providing pipette tips comprising a plate-shaped carrier having a substantially rectangular base surface, wherein the carrier has a plurality of holes aligned perpendicular to the base surface, at least one vertically extending cut-out on the outer side of two opposing narrow sides of the carrier which has a dimension to at least partially accommodate two vertical guide ribs spaced apart from each other and each having a rib width of 2.5 to 4 mm and a rib height of 2.5 to 4 mm, pipette tips inserted into the holes, a bottom part having sidewalls extending upward from a fixed surface, wherein the sidewalls surround a rectangular seat for the carrier with the inserted pipette tips, and two opposing first sidewalls project further upward from the fixed surface than opposing second sidewalls, a support means provided on the inner side of at least two opposing sidewalls to support the carrier in a horizontal alignment on the bottom edge of narrow sides under the top edge of all sidewalls, and two vertical guide ribs spaced apart from each other and each having a rib width of 2.5 to 4 mm and a rib height of 2.5 to 4 mm on the inner side of each first sidewall, wherein the two guide ribs engage in the at least one cut-out in the narrow side of the carrier when the carrier is placed on the support means. |
