PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL element capable of improvement in high-class feeling and total luminous flux despite the fact of being low cost, and to provide a lighting device with the EL element.SOLUTION: The EL element 1 includes: a translucent substrate 6; and a light-emitting layer 4 provided on one surface of the translucent substrate 6 in a state sandwiched between an anode 2 and a cathode 3. This EL element is composed of a hard coat film having a hard coat layer 10 on a transparent base material of the other surface of the translucent substrate 6 and light diffusion adhesion obtained by hardening a light diffusing adhesive composition. In this EL element, the light diffusion adhesion and the hard coat film are provided successively from the translucent substrate 10. |
