1. A method for enabling transmission of sounding reference signals, comprising:
concurrently analyzing user-equipment- (UE-) specific and cell-specific sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission timing factors to determine whether at least one UE-specific SRS transmission instance of a UE is aligned with at least one cell-specific SRS transmission instance of the UE; determining a configuration designed to avoid or at least reduce misalignment between the at least one UE-specific SRS transmission instance of the UE and the at least one cell-specific SRS transmission instance of the UE; and transmitting the configuration to the UE.
