1. A gaming system comprising:
a plurality of gaming devices, each gaming device including:
at least one display device,at least one input device,at least one processor, andat least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to operate with the at least one display device and the at least one input device to enable a player to place a wager to play a base game; and at least one controller configured to operate with each of said gaming devices to:
(a) maintain an accumulated value pool, said accumulated value pool funded, at least in part, based on said placed wagers,(b) determine whether any of the gaming devices cause a bonus game triggering event to occur, wherein the bonus game triggering event is associated with a static award value, and(c) if one of said gaming devices causes the bonus game triggering event to occur:
(i) determine whether to provide the accumulated value pool,(ii) if the determination is to provide the accumulated value pool:
(1) cause said gaming device to display a play of a gaming device triggered bonus game, and(2) cause said gaming device to provide the accumulated value pool to a player, and(iii) if the determination is not to provide the accumulated value pool, contribute the static award value to the accumulated value pool. |
