The present invention relates to a method for setting a TPMS(tire pressure monitoring system) receiver and a TPMS sensor. The method for setting a TPMS(tire pressure monitoring system) receiver and a TPMS sensor according to the present invention sets a TPMS sensor using an automated program or a manual mode after completing the initial setting of the TPMS receiver by inputting a group ID to the TPMS receiver by a PC while the PC is electrically connected to the TPMS receiver. According to the present invention, since the method sets a TPMS receiver and a TPMS sensor using a PC instead of an existing a diagnostic/programming tool, cost reduction due to no use of expensive tools is achieved.
