<p>The present invention relates to a method for preparing organoclay using a polar organic solvent, and more specifically, to a method for preparing organoclay using a polar organic solvent, including a step of adding 1 part by weight of activated clay to 4 to 100 parts by weight of a polar organic solvent, adding 1 to 5 parts by weight of an organifier thereto and reacting the mixture, and drying an obtained product. The method enhances solubility of an organifier by using a polar organic solvent when preparing organoclay, even if an organic defoamer agent is not used, reduces energy for a drying process, and enhances drying speeds, thereby improving productivity of the organoclay and lowering water content in finally obtained organoclay.</p> |
