<p>The invention relates to a method for processing metal scraps, in particular steel scraps, in which the metal scraps are treated with at least one liquid for removing surface coatings before carrying out a spectroscopic analysis of the metal scrap composition. Dependent upon said composition the metal scraps can be sorted and further processed in a targeted manner. At the same time, the liquid used for removing the surface coatings can be processed, in order to recover metals contained therein. With the aid of the method according to the invention the reuse of metals contained in surface coatings, in particular zinc, in a sustainable and economical manner can be ensured and at the same time, the method allows for a targeted sorting of the metal scraps for different purposes in the iron producing industry.</p> |
