<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel epoxy resin hardener which meets requirements of high flame retardancy, high heat resistance, high fluidity and quick curability and a composition using the hardener and a hardened material of the composition.SOLUTION: An epoxy resin hardener is obtained by melt-blending together (A) a phenol compound having a hydroxy equivalent of 50-250 g/eq. and a 150°C melt viscosity of 50-500 mPa s and containing at least two phenolic hydroxy groups in the molecule, (B) a bismaleimide compound of formula (1), (C) a dihydroxynaphthalene compound of formula (3) and (D) a diamine or a dithiol compound of formula (4), in a ratio of (B), (C) and (D) to (A) of 0.5-5.0, 0.1-1.0 and 0.05-0.30, respectively, or by melt-blending (A), (B) and (C) together and mixing (D) with the resultant mixture. The epoxy resin hardener has a 150°C melt viscosity of 50-500 mPa s and a hydroxy equivalent of 250-400 g/eq. An epoxy resin composition containing the epoxy resin hardener and a hardened material of the epoxy resin composition are also provided.</p> |
