PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit blots of a recording medium which are caused by foreign objects adhering to a head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a head provided with a nozzle for discharging a liquid to a recording medium; a first wiping member which performs first wiping processing in which the first wiping member moves its position relative to the head from one side to the other side in a predetermined direction while contacting with a nozzle opening surface of the head thereby wiping foreign objects adhering to the nozzle opening surface; and a second wiping member which performs second wiping processing in which the second wiping member removes the foreign objects adhering to a side surface of the head that is located at the other side in the predetermined direction. |
