PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device having a wide angle of view and a low distortion and achieving high optical performance adapted to a high-definition imaging element, and an imaging apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: The lens device includes, in order from the object side, a first lens group, an aperture stop, and a second lens group having positive refractive power. The first lens group includes, in order from the object side, a first negative lens, a second negative lens, and a positive lens. The second lens group includes at least one negative lens and at least two positive lenses. All of the negative lenses in the first lens group are meniscus lenses each having a convex surface directed toward the object side. At least one surface of the second negative lens in the first lens group is aspheric. The focal distance of the entire system, the focal distances of the first and second lens groups, the average value of the Abbe numbers of the positive lens and the negative lenses in the first lens group, and the average value of the Abbe numbers of the positive lenses and the negative lens in the second lens group are set appropriately. |
