<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of effectively utilizing most components except ash from biomass resource.SOLUTION: The method for producing biomass-derived organic compound includes the steps for: producing biomass-derived raw material by pulverizing biomass (1); recovering a solution containing at least one of xylose and furfural, or a residue A, by carrying out an acid hot water treatment to the biomass-derived raw material (2a); in the case where the residue A is utilized, recovering a solution containing lignin soluble material, or a residue B containing cellulose, by carrying out an alkali treatment to the residue A (2b); mixing the solution containing at least one of xylose and furfural or the solution containing lignin soluble material or the residue B containing cellulose, and a catalyst component, and if required a pH adjusting component, and carrying out a reaction under a condition of hydrogen pressure of 0.1 to 10 Mpa and 373 to 673 K for 0.1 to 10 hours (2); and recovering biomass-derived organic compound from the reaction liquid obtained by the step (2) (3).</p> |
