1. A method of eliciting diamagnetic behavior in at least one ferromagnetic, paramagnetic, super-paramagnetic, or other magnetizable or magnetic particles, the method comprising:
applying at least one transient magnetic gradient field to at least one particle, wherein the at least one particle has been polarized and/or oriented through the application of a magnetic field in a direction that is at least partially opposite to the direction of the transient magnetic gradient field, and wherein the particle is translated in space as a result of the force applied by the at least one transient magnetic gradient field. |
