<p>A method for determining proximity between an electronic device and a user includes: a step of acquiring a measured value from at least a sensor different from a proximity sensor; a step of detecting motion of the electronic device using the measured value; a step of, in response to the detection of the motion of the electronic device, determining if the electronic device is placed close to the user or the user is watching the display of the electronic display using the measured value; and a step of, based on the determination result, controlling the electronic device. Therefore, it is possible to determine proximity between an electronic device and a user without a proximity sensor.</p> |
