PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device such that a form can be set at a proper position more securely when the form is manually inserted to be fed.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a recording head for recording on a medium; a medium support tray which supports at least a part of the medium to be fed; a pair of rollers which nip the medium in a supply path for the medium supplied through the medium support tray and feeds the medium downstream; medium detection means of detecting the medium at a position upstream in the medium feed direction with respect to the pair of rollers; braking means capable of switching between a non-braking state in which at least one of the pair of rollers is allowed to rotate and a braking state in which the roller is braked in rotating; and control means of switching the braking means from the non-braking state to the braking state as the medium detection means detects the medium. |
