PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of reducing deterioration of an optical disk and servo-off in a standby state.SOLUTION: An optical disk device 1 includes an optical pickup unit 11 having a semiconductor laser 21 for emitting a laser beam, and a light receiving unit 24 for receiving return light of the laser beam; a high frequency generation circuit 12a for generating a high frequency signal; a pickup driver 12 for generating a driving signal for driving the semiconductor laser 21 on the basis of the high frequency signal; and a control unit 16 for controlling the high frequency generation circuit 12a, in a state where the reproduction of the optical disk is suspended while the laser beam is emitted, so that the signal level of the superposed high frequency signal is set to a first signal level excepting zero and being lower than in a state where the reproduction is implemented. |
