mechanical engineering; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rollers used as belt conveyor idlers. Roller has axle made sectional and detachable in form of two semi-axles connected by rod and threaded joints and furnished with seat necks with thrust members. They are provided with mounting flats on outer ends arranged in parallel planes, and cylindrical shell installed by end parts on supports. Bearings fitted on seat necks of semi-axles and limited from outside by thrust elements are secured in seat holes of supports. Threaded joints of semi-axles and rod differ in thread pitch. Stepless adjustment of axial position of semi-axles is provided eliminating axial clearances between thrust members of semi-axles and bearings when assembling the rollers and axial runout in operation.
