<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception apparatus and a reception method which improve convenience for a user by allowing recognition that a program to be received is a 3D program.SOLUTION: In a digital broadcasting of both 3D video program contents and 2D video program contents, a transmission apparatus generates a digital signal obtained by multiplexing, scrambling, and modulating a video of a coded program content with identification information to identify if the program content is a 3D video program content or a 2D video program content and transmits the generated digital signal as a digital broadcast signal. A reception apparatus receives the transmitted digital broadcast signal and determines if the received program content is a 3D video program content or a 2D video program content on the basis of the identification information on the received program content.</p> |
