Provided is a metal-coating material that comprises a polyether polyamide (A) comprising: a constituent unit derived from a xylylenediamine (a-2) and a polyetherdiamine compound (a-1) in which the diamine constituent unit has a specific structure; and a constituent unit derived from an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (a-3) in which the dicarboxylic acid constituent unit has 4-20 carbon atoms. The metal-coating material has favorable wear resistance and oil resistance, and has superior adhesion to metals.
