PURPOSE: A digital player having an electronic mail function and a method for processing signals thereof are provided to execute mail work under the same environment even if a host device is changed, and prevent outflow and hacking of user information. CONSTITUTION: A digital player(1) having an electronic mail function includes a program storing part(100) storing a mail program executed in a host device, a code storing part(200) storing code data recording information for identifying user, a code control part(300) receiving a signal requesting to extract specific code data from the host device for outputting the corresponding code data from the code storing part, and a signal process control part(400) executing the mail program in the host device and transmitting the output code data to the mail program.
