PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a directional coupler that avoids deterioration in an isolation characteristic even if it has a clinch structure and that is excellent in a directional property even if coupling line impedance is lower than terminal impedance connected with each terminal due to manufacturing restriction.SOLUTION: A directional coupler is characterized in that it comprises: a broadside coupling line 1031 made up of a main signal line conductor 1001 and a sub-signal line conductor 1011 placed in parallel with the main signal line conductor 1001; and an offset broadside coupling line 1032 made up of a main signal line conductor 1002 of which the end parts and the end parts of the main signal line conductor 1001 are connected, and a sub-signal line conductor 1012 of which the end parts and the end parts of the sub-signal line conductor 1011 are connected, and which is placed in parallel with the main signal line conductor 1002, coupling line impedance in the broadside coupling line 1031 is lower than terminal impedance, and coupling line impedance in the offset broadside coupling line 1032 is higher than the terminal impedance. |
