PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easier manufacturing method of a coating liquid for photosensitive layer formation, an electrophotographic photoreceptor that can form high-quality images using the coating liquid and has improved electrical characteristics, an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic cartridge.SOLUTION: There is provided an easy manufacturing method of a coating liquid for photosensitive layer formation for an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer containing a phthalocyanine composition, and including causing a specific phthalocyanine composition to be subjected to dry granulation processing to a specific particle diameter, and then adding a solvent thereto to be subjected to wet dispersion. An electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by using the coating liquid has excellent sensitivity and dark decay characteristics.
