<p>A portable Ironing board assembly having an operative planar surface 1, an opposing lower surface, and a support assembly for enabling said ironing board to be affixed to and/or supported by a fixed structure, for example a drawer or cabinet; the support assembly comprises rigid support means provided on the lower surface of said ironing board, and a fixing means provided at an end of said support means, the fixing means comprises a first planar 7 portion extending beyond the an end or side edge of said ironing board, and a second angled 15 portion provided at the distal end of the said planar portion, this angled portion defines a fixing surface which is orthogonal to the plane of the first portion and ironing board. The fixing surface can use magnets 16. The ironing board overcomes the problems of standard ironing boards being large and heavy, allowing it to be used easily by the elderly or infirm or suitable for use in smaller houses or caravans.</p> |
