A fuel pumping and filter connection device 11 comprises a main body 12 defining a fuel flow path, pumping means 80 provided within the flow path and pump connection means 110 The pump connection means is adapted to co-operate with external rotary means for driving the pumping means. The main body may include means for connecting the fluid flow path in fluid communication with a filter 19 via a port. The pump connection means may include a stud or recess adapted to cooperate with a stud or recess provided on the external rotary drive. The external rotary drive may take the form of a hand drill. Advantageously the device may be used to purge air from the fuel system in which it is incorporated.
