The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing functional yarn, and more particularly, to a method including the following steps: roll mixing milling inorganic antimicrobial powder to polybutyllene terephthalate (PBT) to manufacture an inorganic antimicrobial masterbatch; roll-mixing milling far-infrared radiation powder to a PBT to manufacture a far infrared masterbatch; mixing the inorganic antimicrobial masterbatch and the far infrared masterbatch with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to melt the resultant mixture; spinning the molten melt; and supplying a spin finish to the spun filament, wherein the inorganic antibacterial powder is zeolite powder, silver nano-powder or both of them, and the far-infrared radiation powder is mica powder, germanium powder, tourmaline powder and guiyang stone powder. According to the present invention, when a textile product is manufactured to be used as a functional yarn having antibacterial, far infrared, deodorizing and sterilizing functions, there are advantages in helping the promotion of health, such as blood circulation promotion, immunity enhancement and waste matter removal by emitting a far infrared ray and an anion to activate a living body, preventing bacteria harmful to a human body from being parasitic on skin or clothing, and removing odor through a deodorizing function. |
